Great place. I was deciding between 3 road bikes. Booked on line and came in soon after. They took a look at how I ride outside, took a few key measurements and then fit me on the frames. Gave lots of helpful tips about form, biomechanics and other suggestions. Very experienced team. Will be going back in a few weeks with my new bike.
You should stop using other places to get your bikes tickled and use Fulcycle. Congratulations - you need look no further.

I’ve had three bike fits over two bikes with Thomas as my fitness has improved from being an overweight man with a bike and a sore knee to a cyclist who can do big endurance events and walk the next day. It transformed my experience of riding from “how much of this can I tolerate” to “how much of this do I have time for today”. I am pretty convinced he’s actually Gandalf after a beard trim.

Kiro is an excellent mechanic and possibly the world’s most patient man. He’s worked on both my road bikes and they are running so well now they are used by Rolex to calibrate the machines they use to calibrate their watch mechanisms. He will always explain what he’s done, why he’s done it, give options on parts to suit budgets. He’s ridden the emotional rollercoaster of tubeless tyres with me and for that he deserves a medal.

On top of all that Thomas and Kiro are both excellent fun, offer a decent cup of coffee and chat and will happily refill a bottle or two mid-ride. Look no further than this hidden gem of a place - get them to fit and fix your bike.

If you’re considering whether a bike fit is right for you, don’t hesitate. Thomas has completely transformed my experience on the bike. I am now more comfortable than ever and have increased my average speed remarkably.

Adding to the above, Thomas has a refreshingly inclusive approach to helping you gain knowledge while maintaining a no silly questions attitude.

They are definitely my choice for all future cycling needs.

Thanks again guys!

I cannot thank Thomas enough for his help.

I am the doctor accompanying a charity bike ride through Vietnam in a few months time but was approaching my training with a fair amount of trepidation as I had to stop cycling in the past due to patello-femoral syndrome (caused by commuting on an ill-fitting bicycle in London) and any attempts to get on a bike since then have caused it to flare up. Luckily, a friend suggested that I go and see Thomas for a bike fitting.

I must admit that I was a bit embarrassed about being such a cycling novice but Thomas was patient, friendly and helpful.

Not only did I emerge from Fulcycle with brilliantly fitting mtb shoes and cleats - enabling me to cycle with NO knee pain for the first time in 15 years - but Thomas also gave me lots of extra tips and tricks to help my 800km ride go smoothly.

Thank you Thomas!

I received an excellent bike fit from Thomas at Fulcycle. Thomas' holistic and person centred approach is not only refreshing, but productive for the rider. The open and honest consultation process (over a great coffee) is very useful in establishing the 'goal' of the fit. Thomas considers previous injuries, cycling goals, and lifestyle circumstances when working with you and your bike. This underlines the importance of being open and honest with your fitter to get the best out of the experience. Thomas' knowledge is excellent, and has helped me to feel more at one with my bike through an extensive step by step fit process. The constant dialogue between rider and fitter really helped to establish why the changes made would help to achieve the overall 'goal' of the fit mentioned above.

While I cannot comment on the long term benefits of the fit yet as I have not ridden long enough to comment, I have no doubts that it will improve my interactions with the bike. I thoroughly recommend Thomas at Fulcycle.

Arrived at Fulcycle on a soggy Saturday morning for a bike fit. Met the team and was grateful for the hot tea. Thomas carried out my bike fit and explained the process in detail. He was very thorough, attentive to my issues, and it was a pleasure getting to know him and the team. They are all very friendly and I felt at ease during the process. I was initially a little sceptical about a bike fit but decided to take the plunge and apply science to try to improve my comfort and performance on the bike. After an analysis of my flexibility (or lack of), Thomas analysed me on the bike and made the necessary adjustments which included bars, saddle and cleats. Was delighted with the new setup and I felt a whole lot better cycling back home. Was also given exercises, frame / reach measurements and more. Really recommend the team. Money well spent.

Winter bike service

Winter is the quieter time in our workshop and we have always been recommending to our clients to get their bike serviced at this time. Availability of parts and less time pressure are the two factors that make winter service a priority. Another bonus is that your bike will be in top condition for your first ride in the spring. I know, it’s hard to image sunshine and dry road conditions right now, but it is worth planning a bit ahead.

You can always book for a service or a bike fit on our website: https://fulcycle.com/book-now/

Here is a selection of bikes recently serviced in our workshop.

Vielo Plus One

Vielo R+1

You may have already heard of Vielo – the newest highly acclaimed British bike brand. Their bikes not only look stunning, but also ride like a dream and we can say this from our own experience.

Vielo bikes come in two models – the R+1 for the road and the V+1 for the gravel rider. Both types of frames are designed specifically for 1x groupsets, allowing for wider and stiffer bottom bracket shell. This means that more of the power from your legs goes directly to the rear wheel, instead of being lost due to flex in the frame. There are also additional small features which we really like – the metal heat deflector shields near the brake rotors, the beautifully crafted Vielo cranksets and bars, and the very clever location of the seatpost clamp bolt, to name just a few.

Bikeradar.com Gravel Bike of the Year runner up award.

Not surprisingly Vielo V+1 was chosen as a runner up to the prestigious Bikeradar.com Gravel Bike of the Year competition, ony to be overtaken by Giant, yet ahead of big brands like Cube, Cinelli and Cervelo.

We were lucky to meet Ian Hughes, the founder of Vielo, at the Core Bike show and spent a long time chatting. His bikes really impressed us and we were very keen from the start to begin selling them in our workshop. Of course you can buy one yourself directly from Ian’s website and I’m sure you will not be dissapointed, but what we are offering is a little bit extra. With every bike purchase from us you get a free bike fit, so even before we place the order for your bike we will know what size frame, stem, cranks and handlebars you need. We will also build the bike for you for free.

Ian Hughes visiting Fulcycle

From experience we know that riding a Vielo bike is going to put the biggest grin on your face and you will love every ride on it. The specifically designed carbon frame and uncomplicated 1x transmission are trully ingenious and will give you years of trouble free riding. The bike fit we offer is going to save you worring if you are getting the right size frame and components. And if you are still unsure – come to the Vielo presentation this September (details to be anonced soon), so you can see the bikes for yourself and have a chat with Ian.
